House Dr R 2000

One house – three worlds. The project's challenge was to purposefully question constructional regulations and redefining them. Besides the compact and functional arrangement of the rooms the development of the floor plan focused on a field of view and focal points to the outside. Balustrades and architrave elements at doors, alleyways and windows were relinquished. Built-in closets are integrated in a subtle manner to support the structure of the cubical and architectural sculpture. The road-side slanted roof, regulated by law, is designed as an independent building element situated on top of the cubical base structure. The first floor appears open with a free-stand-
ing fireplace dividing the room. Sliding glass doors separate areas for living, dining, entry and wardrobe throughout the house.

No gable roof – no tiled roof – no house. But a "micro city mansion" on 340 sqm.
